I am hoping to write a proper review of Robin Aiken’s The Noble Liar. It is quite an illuminating book that deserves wide readership, especially given the current problems we are experiencing in UK foistered upon by the lockdown and more recent the radical Black Lives Matter movement.
The central premise of the is the book is that ther are some "noble lies" that underpin British society. These lies have been foistered on the population by theh BBC which bends the truth to fit is own ideological stance. What I love about the book is how wide ranging it and update it is. It also has very good historical coverage. There are one or two areas, I though the author overeaches but I shall say more about those in my upcoming review!
