One Minute Lessons (Lesson 32)

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. It was given power to wage war against God's holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. Whoever has ears, let them hear. "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's people.

One Minute Lessons (Lesson 31)

And I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, "Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals  Revelation 5:5 John was weeping loudly because he looked at the situation and saw no hope. But one of the elders reminded him: Jesus is the People's Champion. He has conquered sin, death, Satan and Hell for us. There is no need for us to feel hopeless in any situation!  A time indeed is coming when those  who have weeped for their sin before Jesus will weep no more. You will weep no more about yourself, your family, your work, your church, your country and your future. Since we have such a future ahead of us, let us not weep today like those who have no hope. The Lion of Judah has conquered all things for us. Amen!
